Page & Blog News Update 30/01/2019

Hello I’m Alex or you can call me ‘Asperger’.  Welcome to my front editorial page of my writers blog.  Do my best to update at least once a month.

After a refresher course for my creative writing, it promoted me to do this blog.  You can think of me as your hitchhikers’ guide to Aspergers.  Tips of how to get through life with it.  Things I’ve learned over the years.  Wish I’d known when I was younger. It’s a hard world out there.  Hope can come up with some words of wisdom to relieve your pain.  I will do my best.  If you’re a parent looking for information you are most welcome.  Like with any other learning disability, the earlier you can learn to cope, the easier it is.  It will be the hardest when your child start turning into adulthood.  There will general interests, hobbies and life hacks to cope. Something I plan to cover of the course of this blog.

This page will act as the main reference, news updates and blog archive. As this is a new page it's abit short on content right now. However do check back about a week or two, and I'll do best to fill the blog. Do contact me about any of the subjects above or in the blog. Feedback and letters are welcome too.  Any letters worth of note (if you wish) will be put on a letters page. If you wish to support the blog there is a Paypal donations button in contacts at the bottom of the page. More support options will become available as time goes on. Thank you for visiting and enjoy the blog

Archive update 02/02/2019

I hope over the course of months and time to share ideas and tips of how people on the autism spectrum can cope with life. As just started the blog we are aliitle short, but will get to it.

TIP No 1: My biggest help for myself was getting involed with interactive theatre. The resson being you can role play in something that is not real. It don't matter how many social mistakes you make while acting. It's all pretend. However with role playing out fictional social situations, you learn how to use them in the real world. Inturn how to better cope with other people.

Here is some links and videos to get you started

Youtube video doc: 'How LARP (interactive theatre) Helped Cure My Anxiety'

Having 'Social Anxiety Disorder' can be part of the spectrum. We get to meet the young woman Shayana. See how acting has helped her.

Youtube video doc: 'Shakespeare workshops let children with Autism Shine'

Example of a workshop in the US of an acting workshop for autism spectrum people.
